Its not very often that a songwriter not only uses music to express their feelings and creativity but also help to preserve the stories and language of a culture. It was a deeply moving performance by Maatakitj in May 2025 at the Melvlille Main Hall, one that will live on in the hearts of those present for a long time to come.
