After a monumentous 2025 of sold out shows featuring some of WA music’s most revered artists, boutique concert series Tender is the Night returns to Melville with another season of music reimagined with strings.
This series brings together the best of WA classical composers and contemporary songwriters for a truly unique colaboration and performance. these must-see concerts feature artists hearing their songs reimagined by a string quartet for the first time as they play. Held in stunning venues IN the City of Melville, Tender is the Night is set to deliver another spinetingling, goosebump-inducing concert series that unites artist and audience as one.
Opening this year’s series is two artists making inroads on the international stage, Adrian Dzvuke and Your Girl Pho. This concert will be under the stars at Goolugatup Heathcote, overlooking the Derbarl Yerrigan on March 8.
June 6 will feature two much loved WA artists; the groovy sounds of Boom! Bap! Pow! as well as genre cameleon James Rogers of The Little Lord Street Band and Harlequin League, at the refurbished Melville Main Hall.
August will feature two stellar nights of music in the Main hall. On the 22nd, Legendary songwriter Dom Mariani of the Stems will play, supported by the sweet folk sounds of Helen Shanahan. Then on the 29th, Triple J favs Great Gable will play with upcoming indie artist Ribs for support. Both these shows will be at Melville Main Hall.
And our final show of 2026, with the beautiful sunset backdrop at Goolugatup Heathcote, with the heartfelt songs of Joan & the Giants and classic songwriting from The Bures Band on November 29.
This talented line-up is backed by the superb sounds of the Tender Strings Quartet, with arrangements by emerging West Australian composers including Aaron Wyatt, R.E., Jared Yapp, and Simon Kruit.
